You don't just forget characters after the movie has been been out for 5+ months. Otherwise, what would be the point of them ever making OT characters, or prequel characters that never appear in anything else?
Example, using your logic, we should never see a Mace rework, unless he happens to be in season 7, because people forgot about Clone Wars/prequels....
