What if Accuracy was relevant?
I assume Crosshair is coming soon, in this season of Bad Batch content. But IMO, sniper traits aren't very well defined in-game and his arrival gives you an opportunity to rectify that. Like, sometimes it means the ability can't miss, sometimes extra crit chance/damage. (I do like Stormtrooper's Imperial Markmanship unique as a fun joke but it's just high damage variance, so I guess the opposite of that would be True damage?) And that loose group of traits doesn't necessarily appear on toons who have marksmanship moments in canon: off the top of my head, Cassian, Fennec, Aurra, every Han. And Jango and the Clones obviously. I guess we have OG Mando's Disintegration special which can't be evaded. But like, Farm Luke has an ability called Bullseye and it might miss. I just looked on .GG for the list of characters that use accuracy up. It's short, and none of them really make sense except Scout Trooper... he just has a special that gets a slight bonus from having Acc-Up but has NO GOOD WAY TO ACTUALLY GET IT, other than being on a squad with DT Gideon whose special can grant it to everybody.
The bigger problem is that Accuracy is easily the most irrelevant stat. Aside from if you're using Imp Troopers in Rebel Roundup with that event ability, it barely matters. The only scenario where I'd even think about an Accuracy arrow mod is if the toon is very potency-focused with multiple attacks that need to successfully hit in order for the debuffs to apply, and also if they have a very low base speed stat to begin with (which likely means it's a subpar toon anyway).
Are there even any toons with a Leader ability giving a boost to Accuracy? Thought there was but I guess not, just the Evasion bonus on a few OG ones like Talia, Old Ben, and baby Ahsoka, which literally nobody uses them as lead anymore. Fun idea: rework somebody's lead or unique ability give the team more accuracy or say all specials can't be evaded, and then whenever an ally hits an enemy maybe the ally gains TM, or the enemy loses 5% accuracy. Or how about an effect where certain "sniper toons deal damage scaling with their Accuracy rather than Offense, like Grievous does with his Health stat. Then you can justify throwing Accuracy as a primary stat on the triangle and/or cross mods instead of just the arrow. Don't go crazy and start including it in secondary stats though, nobody wants that lol. Just a thought, or 10 :-)
