Well, CG has just come out and said it (again): Relic Delta is meant to make you lose if you don't pay up. As they wrote to those in their closed playtest, "Our stance is that counters should completely lose at RD4. . . . The RD5 numbers exist as a 'in case it wasn't clear, you really shouldn't be winning this.'"Punch-ups are dead. End of story. With so many of us saying we're out once they kill their game with relic delta, what are you most looking forward to? What are you going to do with all the time and money CG is giving back to us?Here's my list:Play some real games. Maybe grab Jedi Survivor on a sale; get back into Civilization and Cities: Skylines; finish Echoes of Wisdom, which could good if I need a quick, mobile fix for a few minutes. And goodness knows I have plenty of Steam backlog. (Any indie game recommendations?)Get more sleep. I've gotten into the bad habit of playing swgoh in bed, sometimes waiting for the midnight refresh or 1:00 a.m. event refresh. It'll be nice to not have that temptation. Read more books. Nighttime is when I used to read, but swgoh pushed that out. I haven't read a book for fun in a long time, so I'm looking forward to getting sucked into a book again. How about you? What are your plans for life after swgoh?

trying to find a cheat so i can get perma banned so I know for a fact that I will never return. At least they are making it simple to want to quit.books other games and real life are there for the taking, jut need to quit swgoh.

I'm mostly just going to change the way I play. Datacrons started the path towards my apathy. When they went with focused datacrons the meta became raw stats over strategy. Who is Krennic? Just throw the DC on Queen amydala to make them do completely unintended things. Hoda? Put it on JMK instead to take out another stupid overpowered DC. Its all very stupid and makes the game feel like we are fighting against the devs instead of playing against each other. My interest in GAC and TW is almost zero now and relic data is definitely going to kill it dead. I am going to collect characters in this game and have no incentive to do anything other than farm them ftp now. Zero incentive to rush things and zero incentive to be competitive means zero incentive to spend money. I'm sure I will naturally spend less and less time playing and that's fine if this is how its going to be.

What will you do with the extra time/money you'll have after Relic Delta?

Oh I dunno, maybe I'll still play as not gonna lose my head over a change that at worst will see me drop down in GAC and probably win more rather than grind away in K1.
Its a game, get a grip.

I'm kind of looking forward to this as a non-whale end game player. Guessing I will drop down in GAC, but that will probably match me against similar or lesser accounts. Its not as if my current yo-yoing between K1 and K2 gets any kind of progression so a more relaxed GAC experience is ok.
For the rest of the game modes it seems it might not impact it hugely, so i'll carry on with the passes if this is the case. If PvE is impacted then most likely i'll drop them.
It's all relative really and unless a player is chasing GAC #1 spot then who cares as we'll all find our level, much as we have now.

Things will probably settle down after a few weeks. Nevertheless, I'm going to miss the GAC punch-ups. Those felt very rewarding, personally.

How will it be a more relaxed experience? If (like me) you tend to punch up a bit (which it sounds like from your description), we'll likely fall a bit because of RDs. However, to hold our new position, we'll need to be just as try-hard. It won't be anymore relaxed, unless you stop caring and drop a little further.

Doesn't it feel like a bit of a kick in the teeth? We've been trying hard at their game, over-achieving and using experience, others and our own ingenuity to find off meta-counters. In the future, all this ingenuity will be wiped out (to a degree) by just looking at relic levels, taking advantage of the 200% damage and bullying it.
If there was an issue with players not getting higher relics they should have fixed that another way a long time ago. Instead, they did the opposite with lowering the relic requirements on datacrons. All that time R9 has kept being pretty hard to obtain, and we've been pushed and encouraged to move on and get the 'new shiny thing'.
CG has messed up, and quite frankly I don't trust or can get my head around their reasoning.
I do tend to agree, that a lot of the 'I've been playing since 1984 and 200% of my guild has given up and the rest will when RDs drop' posts are a bit bull-poo and scare mongering........but you know......maybe right now that's what's needed. Saying that, CG don't listen and are going to do this anyway.

I'm curious how you thought Duncan was looking for guild members based upon his post 🤔
