At 12 energy per sim, that means it's ~100 crystals/mat (at the cheap refresh rate) on average. Even the 16 energy/node character shards are cheaper than that.

I got 1/3, then decided it wasn't worth it and went back to regular cantina farming. Guess that was a good call.

It's been fairly well "proven" that drop rates are independent for individual item types. Shards are about 35%, purple gear is about 20%, etc.

So it is extremely likely that the drop rates for reinforcement mats is very low (and independent of any other drop rate for that node )

Um... why are you guys using Cantina energy and not hoarding it for double drops starting on the 25th?

I'm 0 - 0 if you are counting... ask me tomorrow after I spend about 1000 Cantina energy when there are DOUBLE DROPS.

hence i'm 0/3 in order to get the daily activities done :-D

unless they change something i'd advise against blowing 1k cantina energy on them during double drops. as i said earlier double of 0 is still 0.

I have double drops active, and got 0/30. Do I feel better because it was double zero?
