When will we have more ships and ship content?

I think they already announced that this months farming of rebels will get their ships which you need in april to do an event.

Well, looks like Chopper is out of the bag. March will be seeing the debut of additional characters from Star Wars Rebels!
The first of our Rebels events kicks off with Supply Sabotage, starting March 9th. Complete this event to unlock Hera Syndulla and the amazing synergies she brings to Phoenix Squadron! Each Thursday this month will continue to showcase events for, as well as introduce new Phoenix Squadron members. There are no special requirements for these March events, so be sure to bring your best Squads! (Please note these dates are always subject to change, but we'll do our best to keep you up to date on ANY changes!)
Protip: Be sure to collect Hera and all of the members of Phoenix Squadron this month, as you’ll need them to participate in a special Event in April featuring their ships, Ghost and Phantom II.

What? The ships will likely be free to unlock. Thats hardly a paywall. We wont be able to farm them but you'll have them

Almost everything in this game is useless unless you can max them.

Uhhhh... no. People routinely use understarred characters. And it all depends on your shard. If the people in your shard are lvl 70 and use gear 9 toons, then your characters only have to be that strong

What? The ships will likely be free to unlock. Thats hardly a paywall. We wont be able to farm them but you'll have them

I get that but my point is without a way to star them up further other then money, then they can be used in challenge, only arean.
And I will bet my left sock that when they release additional challenges, (such as higher challenge for ability mats), they're probably going to needs like 8 5* DS ships or even 5 6* DS ships or soemthing. Any further content they release will require higher * ships

Well this is a freemium game so thats always been true. In fact it used to be worse. At least now you can unlock and gear up new toons for free.
