This was a question one of my guild mates in JediCouncilAUS asked when the Unaligned Force User tag, the most powerful faction in the game, was added with Commander Ahsoka Tano. They asked why Commander Luke Skywalker had that tag and not the Jedi tag. My response was a quote from Darth Vader in 'The Empire Strikes Back':
"The Force is with you, Young Skywalker. But you are not a Jedi yet"
He pre-dates Revan by a long long way. Back in the early days factions weren't as much a thing. Your strongest lightside guys, your strongest darkside guys and then phoenix and night sisters. Then we got Rey and the droids. I guess it wasn't until Revan came out that we really took notice of 'the jedi faction'. Then DS Revan came out and....everything changed!
That is easy. But... why is not Jedi Knight Luke a rebel? Why are Ahsoka characters from Rebels spectres and not the original ones, that are in fact the real spectres? Game tags have a lot of balance / synergy reasons.
I think in the movies (episode VI) Luke only becomes a jedi at the moment he confronts Vader and the Emperor hence the quote “I am a Jedi, like my father before me”.
I thought this was a necro, lol
Also game balancing issues. CLS in a Revan team would be scary
