How isn't it a debuff? It is a negative effect on a character which is the definition of debuff...
It looks like a debuff, & smells like a debuff, but it isn't counted as one for any other abilities. - deathbringer59Rising NewcomerThe imposter debuff!

I think armor shred came before status effects (blue icons like prepared) were a thing (since Sabine was wayyyyyyyy too early)
Hope they update it eventually "NicWester;c-2364442" wrote:

It's red, so it's a debuff. If it's green it's a buff. Blue are status effects that don't count as buffs or debuffs. Whether it can be dispelled/resisted/etc doesn't actually matter.
k, you go on thinking it doesn’t matter ?♂️- ccmooseNew Novice

It does matter because it says its not a debuff in the description
If you use any abilities that checks for debuffs, it will ignore armor shred, such as Darth Nihilus' Drain Force does not have 100% chance of increasing cooldowns if the only status effect on enemy is armor shread
That is good information. Are there are other green/red indicators that are not buffs/debuffs?
Would be cool if CG took a 5-minute break to change the color code of Armor Shred to blue :P - ScreeriderNew Scouthttps://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/b/b9/MagrittePipe.jpg/270px-MagrittePipe.jpg
