I thought about that too, defense down not registering after the slam but ran a good while after through multiple Rancor turns to make sure both slow and defense down "should" of been applied. I actually have a potency + on Wedge and all potency on 5s so don't have trouble landing slow or defense down. It didn't affect the other 3, their damage remained constant throughout.
I ran a trial w Lando, STH and AA to check and don't think I saw the same decrease but I had to run before I could really test it. Mainly was checking if it had to do w Teebs lead.
