Does how you do in GAC in week 1 affect week 2 matchmaking?

If you were to win all 3 of your GAC matches in week one, are you paired up with people who also did well in their GACs last week? Or vice versa, if you lost all 3 do you get paired up with people who...

So it is true. It is better to manage your banner gain to avoid hitting Bronzium after the first season.
