How is the He11 do you stop that dumb tactic because it seems everyone uses in the squad battles. It is so frustrating and I cannot seem to find the answer because there has to be. Otherwise what is the point of having multiple characters
Can be little more descriptive? A lot of rebel characters in the game I have no idea vs what team you're playing or what team you have.
Google "counter to whatever team you're facing." example, "counter Hera Sendula" - It will pull up GAC 5v5 or 3v3 counters to squads you are facing. Filter it to 5v5 and you'll have your answer. I assume you're on a young shard and facing a Phoenix with Rex or CLS with Han, 3PO, Chewpio and Chewie.

Okay Google shows Malgus on every list to beat the Hera Rex Omnicron list. That list is run by 90% of the opponents. That in itself says the list is way to OP
Phoenix is actually a frustrating team to deal with in early game, having all that turn meter and healing all the time. However, you can beat Phoenix with Phoenix actually, just make sure you go first. CLS with Drogan and Stormtrooper Han also can beat them cos they get stunned all the time and Chewpio (Threpeo and Chewy) will make them miss, General Hux also works with Zeta with Kylo Ren Unmasked lead. Just calm down
The bigger questions here are: Is it productive to go out of your way to build a team to beat a team that's not meta? & If you're struggling vs Phoenix, what about the other TM train teams?
I guess it depends on your priorities and where you are in the game. I presume you don't have that many options open to you. swgoh.gg is a must for many things. One of which, is the 'counters' section.
At the end of the day, you'll win what your roster will allow you to win in GAC. I wouldn't fret too much about losses, they're temporary. Just make sure what you do build in the game is relevant and will stay relevant.
