Has fleets got crazy hard for anyone else all of a sudden

Since the start of this week fleets seem to have gotten crazy hard for me, noticeably so. I can't defeat anyone in arena I used to anymore (even weaker fleets without maxed out chimeras with mine maxed out, g12s, full modded etc), can't defeat the fleet battle nodes I once did, seems like its gotten insanely hard for me. Is it just bad luck or is it happening to everyone else?
  • No I have maxed ships like bobba fett ship etc. with maxed reinforcements. I say I am hitting fleets weaker than mine that I had no problem with last week but can't kill anything.
  • It could be rng, even with the fleet tables--a lot rides on that target lock sometimes.
  • Cheers to those who actually recognized strategic changes in 2.0 and adapted instead of running the same tired-ass Bigs/Tie/Vader lineup they've had for two years then whining about the results.

    Im so happy for you that your on a whole other level of a shard that doesnt run the same "tired" lineup,come to my shard where the top 100 run the same exact lineup.Nothing will change bc im sure theyre leveling up the next "meta" ships like every1 else...rinse and repeat.... ships better get new ships soon to end this fre.gin quagmire already

    Have you tried a different lineup yet? Perhaps if you did you would not know what 51-100 ran because you would be in top 50.

    Try something new. Like I posted before - the new ships don't even need to be maxed to beat the cookie cutter fleets. Im running a g8 and 2 g9 crews. (Cassian, Phantom, Ghost - although I just upgraded Ghost to g9.6 and Phantom to g9.3). Sun Fac also works great at g8.
  • Within the last week I finished the last ability slot on my capital ship after harvesting prestige for weeks in Arena Store since ships 2.0 latest addition with Fleet battles. Maybe your competitors have finished as well. It does make a difference. Are all your capital ship abilities maxed yet?

    Also, I think there is a Hidden Defense Multiplier added when going against a weaker teams, I often lose to teams 30-60k less than mine, (I'm at 358k) but win more against teams that are 10-15k more than mine.

    All this means is that power is not useful for determining the victor of the battle (and if it were, why bother fighting?) Use power for deployment in TB, but when fighting in arena, I don't even look at the number. I figured this out at level 40. There are still a lot of people who make a big deal out of small relative power differences, especially in fleet, and to them I say it's just a ballpark figure. You shouldn't expect your 350k fleet to lose to a 150k fleet most of the time (but maybe sometimes). But a 50k difference is nothing. In fleet, the power includes the power of all reinforcements, which may not even enter the battle. It contains power from crew, which may not even influence stats in a meaningful way.

    Heck, since the power calculation update, you see weird things with squads too...stars are weighted way to heavily. You can have a 7* character at level 1, gear 1 with more "power" than a 4*, level 64, g7 character with level 3 abilities and mods. Guess which one would win. They really need to rename "power" to "collection score."
