Seems the Ob need some spanking, just hit the crap out of him. With 15 to 20 Shard mates it should be no problem to keep him away from top 5. After some weeks he will come to your chat or quit

You have vastly superior speed mods to what I have on my alt, my GK is 6* and Nihilus is 5* - but yet I've never lost to you. A good DN lead with Sith Trooper and Assassin would also give you trouble.

I think you have several toons modded incorrectly to take advantage of Zaris. There is no reason to pile on Protection to Baris and GK - both should be using health primaries to max out the health return on crits.

Also I know any time you would like to stop attacking everyone on the shard out of your time payout that would be appreciated.

Any team would give this one trouble. There is no unbeatable team right now.

Also, why don’t you just coordinate against this player and it impossible to finish at #1 or even top 5 or 10?

There is a social aspect to this game for sure. The GUILD, the COMMUNITY... but the arena is:

PLAYER VS. PLAYER.

It's nothing personal. It's a game.

Arena is a totally contrived PvP playing against a mostly bad AI. But that's as it should be. Even winning the 'I've collected more and won the mod RNG lottery' battle doesn't mean everything - case in point my vastly inferior squad.

You have 1 designated arena payout time. That is your time to compete against other players. When you snipe other people out of top spots outside your time you are not helping yourself - only hurting them deliberately out of spite. That is not competition. I personally am not interested in knocking other people back just for the sake of... what? saying you can do it.... what sense does that make?? Every reasonably good team can win on offense.

On my main account there is a mega whale who for a long time did this kind of childish "I have to be in first all day long" behavior. I acted like a devolved person for a while to coordinate aggravating him. And that takes actual strategy. But its just petty. I'm not into that anymore. It would be great if you could graduate out of lizard-brain thinking that hurting someone else (with no benefit for yourself) is somehow the definition of competition.

I'm not doing anything out of spite.

I don't play for "payout time." I've farmed everything from that store anyways. I play because I enjoy it. That's all.

Again, it's a game. I enjoy playing it.

I have an EST payout.

That means that most people have payout before me on my shard.

There's about a dozen players in my shard chat and outside of it that have payouts after me.

I avoid those people out of courtesy unless they snipe me or others in my shard chat.

I do not use te shard chat to make it to the top. I do it on my own merit.

I will lock in with another player from time to time to prevent getting sniped (because anyone can beat anyone these days) but I get up top all by myself.

Arena is my favorite part of the game and I still have loads of fun.

Knowing who has payouts when avoids unnecessary Spot swapping as far as I am concerned.

You're not in my shard OP so it's no skin off my nose but the shard chat has made arena more fun, not less for me. And it is still plenty competitive.

Maybe I wasn’t clear enough. I wasn’t advocating to coordinate against you because you don’t want to join in their chat but because you constantly snipe other players. But if they’re not coordinated enough to block you then so be it. For what it’s worth, your team (and mine) aren’t strong enough to hold off a well coordinated shard of players.

Sniping isn't earning... If you want to "earn" it then hold it for the whole hour...

I've been holding a top 10 position for the past month or two, I honestly don't care that you sit in first all day Abraxis. Where you start pissing me off is when I hold first with a minute and a half or less you can't wait for payout to move us. It's not when your profile syncs. When I was more consistently beating your team you would actually lock me in if I waited until under 6 minutes.

You made a team that severely punished the team that comprised most of the top 10. For that good job on making us rethink our arena strategy. All I ask is you stop the petty payout snipes. Most of us couldn't care less if you hold first 23.5 hours out of every 24.

Wait. So let me get this straight, using my personal example:
My payout time is 6pm. I work from 8am - 6pm, then I usually take 30, 40 minutes to get home. Obviously, I missed payout time. So what do I do? I play when the server refreshes (midnight for me), and while playing, I try to achieve the highest rank I can. That is considered sniping by your standards then? LOL
For me the real D move here is making a group of people so all can abuse the system and everyone in there gets maximum rewards, thats not PVP at all.
If I could I would most certainly eliminate the ability to coordinate payouts, I think its a cheap move.

I generally play all of my arena matches in the hour prior to my payout. According to your guildmate your payout is a hour before mine, which I've never interfered with. It's a 5pm payout for myself, in mountain time. If we share a payout so be it, we can compete each day for the spot.

But actively spiting people a hour after your payout is an ignorant move.

Stop arguing from the standpoint that it is. Cooperating is "not PVP at all" and "a cheap move"? You're 100% correct! It's is by definition the cheapest move - it saves a lot of players a lot of crystals.

So you are absolutely ruining the game for others by insisting on having it your way, so stop pretending otherwise by pointing to it being pvp, when that isn't in a real sense an aspect of the game. Just stating that it is doesn't make it so, as certain world leaders would have you believe. But it is good to know that that's the way parts of the playerbase wish to play, and you are, of course, welcome to play the game any way it allows.

Let's just hope the developers at some point look into changing arena, or perhaps even adding another game mode, that allows for actual real-time pvp. Then you'd all have real bragging rights. As of now, I'm sorry to say, it just comes across as some guy blowing crystals on refreshes to ruin payouts for everyone else, without any reward other than personal pleasure. That's from my point of view. I realize it's not shared by everyone - I just wanted to reiterate that arena is not pvp, and everyone should stop pretending that is. If anything it is a try-making-a-team-so-solid-even-the-ai-can't-eff-it-up competition - and at that you've done a solid job!

Except that resistance squads eat this team comp for breakfast. The whole arena is a game of builds and counter builds. The problem I have with this thread is that it was just a publicity stunt to get views in a poorly edited YouTube video. It incensed some members ofnthe forums, and then the OP seems to get a kick out of continually needling the people he has irritated.

While I have smiled in bemusement from reading the discussion. I am now posting the typical warning signs you would see in a zoo:

"Don't feed the animals."

By ignoring the thread you deprive the OP of views and the attention he obviously is enjoying.
