How do certain stats work/grow/translate into %?

Hey everyone

I am on the way of making a personalized full list of all stat growths based on Strength, Agility, Tactics/intelligence and Gear pieces and Levels, however I find myself awfully blocked in this task because there are a plethora of things I can't seem to find ANYWHERE

Which stat growths define Physical Damage? All I could find is a universal growth of 1.4, but thats all it said, i don't know which factor defines it's growth, is it any of the stats? Like, 1.4x strength? or is it a combination of all 3 stats? 1.4x ((STR+AGI+TAC)/3) or...?

How do I calculate Physical and Special Critical Ratings from raw numbers to percentages?

Is Armor Pen / Resistance Pen calculated with the same factor as Armor and Resistance? Or do they have another different translation between Raw number and Percentage value?

How does Protection grow? Do you gain an amount based on Gear level? Or is there one stat that actually influences it?

So yeah...I got quite a bit of questions here which I feel like could need at least SOME insight. If anyone knows the answer, or has the link to a site that has an answer, I would be most grateful to receive it.

  • Physical Damage: 1.4*main stat (the one that has greater growth)
    Special Damage:2.4*Tactics

    Physical defense: (0.14*Strenght)
    Special defense: (0.1*Tactics)

    Defenses translation to Armor and resistance:
    Armor = (PhysDefense*100)/(PhysDefense+(CharacterLevel*7.5))
    Resistance = (SpecDefense*100)/(SpecDefense+(CharacterLevel*7.5))

    Penetrations lower defenses and then armor/resistance is recalculated

    Crit Chance = 10% + (Crit Rating / 24)

    Protection grows with Gear tiers, starting @g7 and its fixed for every char.

    Damage done by an ability takes physical/special damage/max health and multiplies it by an ability multiplier to calculate damage done.

    Gear pieces can increase any of the above by the amount shown in the piece.
    Some chars have a bigger starting value for defenses, critical ratings,....

    Swgoh.gg can get you all the data of the chars from g12 till g13R7 with just a few clicks, so you’d better check that website as it is way faster than the project you want to achieve

  • Wauw! That is some study, you are starting, there.

    Different characters (or classes?) are affected differently by each stat. For some STR affect physical damage, for others it's AGI.

    Stat growth factor is determined by tier/rank (from 1* to 7*).

    How much physical/special dmg, armor, crit rating etc. is affected will probably require an extensive study to determine. I doubt that it's a linear dependency.
