Do NOT relic your characters. If you want to have consistent and repeatable content to play, there are many characters you should not relic up. For example: High relic Old Republic and Revans make some of the best pieces of content in the game no longer a challenge or fun. If you desire content in the game, only gear certain characters to certain levels. Once they get past a point, the fun content they are associated with, basically goes away.

I appreciate what you are trying to say here OP, but you will not gain much traction with this lot. Your suggestion has some merit when talking about a few PvE modes, but limiting development on your best characters to retain playability in those modes will handicap your progress in other PvE modes like Geonosis Territory Battles and raids. Once you add in the PvP modes (squad arena, grand arena, territory wars) where the object is to overpower the other guy, limiting your gear levels gives you an unnecessary handicap.It seems a large portion of the player base is more concerned with progress in PvP and end-game PvE than how to retain some challenging lower-level PvE content for replay purposes. Many would rather push "Auto" or "Sim" than muck about with content that is somehow beneath their consideration.Personally, I think it's fun to use some underdeveloped factions like jawas or tuskens or whatever is lying around to attack things like Tier 1/2/3 of Galactic Challenges, just to see how they do. But I would not hold back on developing Revan to this end.

No, I was saying that in terms of having fun repeatable content that is always accessible, people might want to take into consideration the fact that once they relic up their characters, they can’t undo that and that content essentially becomes a quick cutscene instead of something that is more of a an enjoyable challenge to replay.

I like doing PVE with undeveloped teams. I also use end Cantina and Mod Battle missions on autoplay to test some gauge of how g10ish compositions might do in GAC defenses. I figure autoplay is mimicking AI somewhat.

The idea of not upping a great team though? No.

It seems that Relic OR characters would make replaying the ls Malak event actually fun, instead of the headache it was at g12.
