Loading Biggs with Speed for OHKO

In terms of mods and team building, I haven't seen this discussed much, but it's a "thing" on my February shard.

I was fortunate enough to have the first Wiggs team on my shard, I built the team with the fastest STH I could (he was my fastest toon at the time). I held rank for a long time.

A competitor of mine, who was close in terms of speed, found that he could outpace my STH by putting his fastest mods on Biggs, so I ended up in a situation where my Wedge was taken out instantly, leaving my STH to boost only 4 remaining toons.

So I responded in kind, putting Biggs up to 205 speed (265 with Wedge and Lando bonuses). My competitor scored some new mods and went to 206. This morning I got a lucky drop and went to 209, I now go before some JEs on my shard.

Despite my current status of having the fastest Biggs, I'm not enjoying this. It feels cheap. I've checked the team compositions on some of the older shards, and they seem to opt for a Wedge lead with a fast STH or Poe, rather than just putting everything into Biggs for a guaranteed first round knockout.

I'm unclear as to why this isn't a "thing", i.e. more widespread? It seems to work. Even against a Rex lead, you can take out Rex before their team moves, pretty much every time. You can take out EP every time. It's like having Raid Han but instead of a stun you get a kill.

Is anyone else seeing this on their shards? If not, why do you think that is?

Let's forget the fact that wiggs has very high natural speed, a +25 speed lead people are abusing, let's forget the whole mod speed game and that people just use mods to make him as fast as possible. The biggs speed competition and the fact he has been going first with his one-shot against all possible opponents for the past month, just forget those factors for a second.

Now seeing as you run from all debate/points I've made it simple -

Can you give me one valid reason why it is balanced that biggs has the biggest attack by absolutely miles, and can one-shot anyone, and no competitors have anything even remotely close?

    'I don't mind' doesn't count

somebody has to be first. before wiggs it was Rey or Leia. who should be first? an attacker, a ftp character? great. Biggs is ftp, he is in gw which is the easiest place to farm a character, he is easy to level. why is this a problem? it is not the biggest attack by miles, rey still puts out comparable damage (I presume you mean his attack alone w/out the assist). when I use ackbar and Rey, rey hits both of her specials in a row and does "comparable damage" to the full 3 attack start wiggs is capable of.

Also, it takes 3 toons to complete the full attack so if wedge is stunned/dead, it is only a regular assist which multiple characters have. with the old phasma leads, multiple times an "assist" would trigger a 3rd attacker (granted at lower damage sometimes) or even with Aayala. Nebit has 3 attack assist as well, also granted not as potent. here are several examples of a similar mechanic.

Also, Wiggs is not the fastest by any stretch. he has absolutely not "going first with his one shot". I have a baseline 190 biggs because I dont want to do the speedy StHan that is way more common than wiggs. JE always go first. then most of the droid team always goes right after. It is not like droid teams are rare either, much more common on my shard. at this point, many who dont have droids have raid Han...who always goes first. Han AI works well against wiggs, he has always targeted wedge and usually stuns him, thereby making biggs attack a regular old 1 assist attack.

there are several mechanics to keep this from being a guaranteed 1 shot or going first.

wedge is ftp now so I'm also not sure why all the complaints about the utility of this combo. it was Rey before, and she was ftp as well and everybody had her in the comp or could have her, but everybody complained anyway b/c somebody needs to be the most used/most useful/most damage out there. at least now, there is variety (excpet in mods... everybody is going speed secondary crazy). there are still multiple comps at the top of my shard, only 2 of us run wiggs and we are in the minority. if this combo isnt fun for you, that is a different issue, but should not effectively generate a "nerf".

Spoiler: they all die in the end.
  • I don't agree with any of this OP nonsense. Two tank teams manage to beat my wiggs setup pretty darn consistently, especially if the enemy Emp has any decent amount of potency. Add in Lando and Anakin to the equation and it's totally a coin toss. Wiggs have such low health they can be whittled down by low DPS teams pretty easily. Just yesterday I managed to kill two Lando and Emp before the enemy team really got to move and still managed to lose handily to JKA, RG and I think QGJ (or maybe STHan). My WIggs team also can't even touch Droid teams, they destroy me everytime. I just don't have the mods. This game is all about Mods. If you're getting wrecked by Wiggs, chances are you are simply outmodded. So sure, go ahead and nerf wiggs, then we're back where we were previously, which is Landakin+two tanks and Droid meta. Wiggs is the solution to a limited playing field, not the cause of a limited playing field.
