Looking for tips on FO for GA defence

I am a low GP player, 630k with all FO G10+ and 7*. That being said most of my power lies in my first order teams and I use them as my front line defence. But with only 8 characters I need tips on good ways to split them up, and characters to throw in to the mix. Any info will be greatly appreciated

  • Worth mentioning that up until this point I have run
    1)Phasma, FOO, FOTP, Kylo, FOST (this team has roughly 72k power)
    2) ZKRU, FOX, FOSF, Rex(like 6* G7), Assaj (7* G9) (about 66k power)

    My purpose for this is that I hope my opponent doesn't know enough and is scared by full FO synergy into attacking the second team which also shows less power, but ZKRU with FOX and FOSF alone are quite the team to overcome dispite looking easy. (Assuming my opponent kept their best team on defense) last time I did this team 2 got 4 defenses and they did not even try to attack team 1


    Sorry if this is too much info, just sharing my train of thought so anyone can help me tweak it
  • If most of your power lies in your fo teams, you should always use them in offense. Offense wins ga at your GP
  • My FO defence: zzKru, FOST, kr, fox, foo. I leave Phasma to lead fotfp and whatever other bit parts I have left if barrel scraping on offense
  • First Order doesn't do very well on defense, mainly because the AI can't use them properly, especially the Officer. You're much better off using them on the attack.

    If you have to use them on defense, I'd say you're better off using the "ideal" team all together: KRU, Kylo, Officer, Stormtrooper, Executioner. You can use Phasma and the two pilots + 2 randoms for a scraps team. Since the AI doesn't use the Officer well, SF TIE Pilot might be better on defense, but I haven't messed with it as he's my only ungeared First Order member.

    That's one idea, but I think the best way to maximize your FO is by sharing the leader ability as much as possible for KRU (so try to put all team on FO) and including more variation for the phasma team. That's because KRU only gives bonuses to FO, whereas Phasma gives to the whole team with better bonuses for FO. Furthermore, Rex on a kru lead team means once you get a zeta (and Im assuming its going straight to KRU since you said hes your strongest team), the tenacity up means you're not gonna be healing off of the debuffs.

    I've also given it a lot of thought for a LONG time as I love my FO but I don't have every FO character and here's what I have crafted in my mind. I also love theorycrafting:

    Phasma, FOX, FOO, FOST, 5th(Preferrably someone who can call assists. Preferrably target ally assists another option is Ewok Elder or anyone that gives TM on basic or has some kind of special effect on their basic. Could also be otherwise misfit toons like RG, or Rey.)
    KRU, Kylo, FOSF, FOTP, BB8

    Why it should be optimal (in theory)
    Phasma team (better on offense):
    Phasma lead and eventual FOST zeta will mean a lot of assists are being called in. You will always have a 50% chance for every 1 assist of there being a strong benefit in the form of FOX giving extra TM to the whole team or in your 5th of getting some strong benefit (stun from RG, Heavy damage +foresight from Rey, TM from EE).
    FOO has buff dispels to cleanse anyone that needs it in a pinch, reduces cooldowns of his FO allies and
    FOX will almost always have advantage because of phasma lead, and FOO feeding him. The more attacks he can get off, the more damage he will be doing and the more turns everyone will be taking.
    FOST- good tank, with his zeta +counter attacks the assists will be crazy from phasma lead too.

    It's better on offense because the AI doesn't know how to use FOO. On offense you know exactly who to feed TM to at all times

    KRU team (better on defense)
    BB8 comes free with FO which is great! And I think he would work great here.
    Kru: Very durable tank with a massive stun. I dont like pairing up FOO with him because FOO reduces his cooldowns so he is constantly alternating between taunting and his second special, meaning he is taunting less of the time. Also, he is great on defense. With both of his zetas, if the enemy team is faster but cant dispel the taunt, he just starts handing out advantage which is so important for Kylo.
    Kylo: A TM MONSTER. 25-50% TM for almost the whole team (hopefully) every turn. And he has a strong priority for the AoE over the second special on defense. Even if the enemy counterattacks, your KRU should be taunting and soak up all the damage. Best thing is once he has advantage, his AoE doesnt get rid of it, so it's 50% TM until it expires with him. That means getting him advantage makes him twice as fast.
    FOSF: Gives speed up and stuns! Speed up plus Kylos TM will make the 25% bonus speed buff feel like 35-50% bonus speed
    FOTP: MASSIVE damage. I LOVE my FOTP. His zeta will make him INCREDIBLY elusive. He will ALWAYS be critting with his zeta plus KRU lead. He will almost always have foresight because he will be taking so many turns and he already has such a incredible way of gaining bonus TM from crits under KRU lead (Almost always 2 in 1 turn. Especially since FOO isnt there to reduce his cooldowns and make him use his special), couple that with never ending advantage, 50% TM from KRU, and speed up from FOSFTP, and his INSANE damage output and the fact that he is almost always hiding behind either KRU or foresight AND the fact that KRU is stunning someone for 2 turns and FOSF is also stunning and both of them are insanely sped up to get more and more stuns while their team struggles to get around all those obstacles and you realize just how strong this is on defense.
    BB8: Why target BB8 when FOTP is the one wrecking your team? By the time you get around to FOTP after dealing with KRU taunt and the stuns being passed out like candy, an illuminated destiny will heal everyone back up to full plus just end the match right there. Now any progress they made is minimized for the next attempt. They will just steamroll anyone after that, but it may also turn the tides around if somehow things werent going well. To top it off, BB8 gives bonus potency, meaning that if Kylo cant reset his cooldown for the AoE, he is more likely to stun, FOSF can more reliably hit the stun, whenever FOTP uses his special it will give all those goodie debuffs. BB8 is also a mini healer under zeta KRU. He will be healing somebody's health AND prots every turn he takes... which will be a lot because he naturally gains lots of TM.

  • I don't have KRU but I do have a
    Phasma FOO SFFOTP FOTP and FOST

    It is all G10 and below, and has enough fire power to kill a defending KRU team. Takes a lot of modding and omegas to do that though

    With that said KRU is 1 of the best defenders in the game. You are better off forgetting Phasma exists and make a FO team around KRU
