The empire might get more characters with direct synergy, but I don’t think that should rule out Nightsisters being a part of the future meta even in other squads. Zombie is one of only 3 autotaunts and only needs to be paired with 1 other NS to be a pain. Talzin can be good in nearly any team, and her ability to block cleanse could open up other rosters down the road. For example, plague could make thermal detonators viable if they add more bounty hunters that use that mechanic. Nightsister Acolyte has huge stealth synergies and could play a huge role in any stealth meta paired with Zombie.
