Non-SLKR strategies for gaining the FO feat

I'm questing for SLKR, so I have a lot of relic FO, but no SLKR yet.

I ended up using KRU lead for the healing, then a combo strategy of stun lock on dengar & Greef, with an offensive strategy on Boba/Mando. I tried to delay Bossk's taunt, but went full offense if he did get it up.

Boba was the easiest to kill and went down first b/c his AoE attracted counter-attacks (and assists for those counters) which quickly lowered his event special damage reduction. Bosk went down 2nd because of his taunt.

With Boba & Bossk gone it was time to turn to thermo-regulation & saving Hux's cooldown reset for KRU. I never attacked dengar so I wouldn't give him stealth (and avoided AoEs unless I had just put him in 2 turn stun). 2 turn stun went on him ASAP, then Hux cooldown reset would permit the 2turn stun on Greef (assuming Bossk was down).

While Thermoregulation was on cooldown, attacks would go to Mando. He got off some dangerous attacks on my successful run, but because of healing damage from earlier attacks, everyone survived.

By the time Mando goes down, the last 2 enemies had 6-7 stacks of Overheat. I maxed out my efforts to thermoregulate, saved KRU's 2-turn stun until dengar was active, then used Hux to do the same to Greef shortly after.

But honestly, with Mando down, it was easy to keep both in stun lock between KRU & Hux. They could easily have popped from overheat, but Greef went down with only 8 stacks and dengar with 9 stacks and 80% TM.

That took a number of runs once I hit on the strategy. (It just seemed promising enough after the first run to give the same strategy a couple more goes.) I'd guess maybe 4-5?

As for the underdog feat, that was easy with a relic GR squad of Padmé, GK, JKA & Ahsoka. Honestly I could hardly believe they worked so well. First attempt killed everyone with no complex strategic thinking involved.

  • Full FO squad was

KRU (L), Hux, ST (for additional cleanse and assists), FOST (taking some damage off of KRU + counters & assists to remove damage reduction), and finally FOSFTP. All r5 except FOSFTP was r3.

That last one could have been Kylo or FOO, but FOSFTP ended up being the right mix between stunning (one stun on assist special) and offense. I never used the stun on dengar (if resisted, it would have resulted in stealth and killed my run), but if someone else had tenacity down from KRU's basic, the stun would work on them. (It never seemed to work without tenacity down.)

The primary target for this stun special was Bossk to prevent taunt, but stopping the offense from Mando or Boba could help if Bossk was your first kill and you were trying to limit the enemy to a single active attacker.
