Sacrificing speed on mods

Would you sacrifice 4 speed points on an attacker (specifically Vader) to have a crit damage triangle, i.e. 36% CD instead of protection???

Specific case is in arena team of Palp(L), Vader, Thrawn, Nihilus, Sion

    It's maths innit...

You can have one slower, more powerful shot. Or two faster, slightly weaker shots.

    Decision is yours.

Personally I'd go for the double. Making more "actions" than the enemy is always a good thing. Never let it be said different.

your logic is ridiculous - 4 extra speed does not equate to 1 extra attack and is all relative to opposing teams mods/ characters as well as your own

It could. What if you're 1v1 and have the same TM, but your opponent has 1 speed more than you. They'll go twice. You go once. yes, I know the scenario is unlikely, but to dismiss his point is shortsighted.
  • Having the correct primary on certain toons is more valuable than 4 speed, but you have to look at the toon. Since you are talking Vader specifically then no, the speed is more important. Vader's primary job in arena is to run the TM train, the damage you get from him is secondary.

Now if you're talking someone like Sion, the crit damage is much more important than 4 speed.
  • However, Vader has a ship. Are both mods 5-dot? If not, the CD one clearly is and that one should be on Vader to boost his fleet power until you find one that ALSO has speed.

both 5-dot mods (don't mess around with 4 dots)
