Why does that make it worse? Requiring a ticket (i.e. an actual request with an audit trail) is basically SOP for any software development.
Beats me, I'm not in software. Just sounds like a horrible way to deal with daily stuff at a small (?) company.
Well, then, TYL: as a developer, one should not check in any code changes or perform any data changes without an approved ticket first. This is especially true for a publicly traded company like EA, as there are rules about such things.
