Okay, here’s my resolution, shared by a friend of mine. The reasoning is ISP related as suggested above, however, my ISP did not respond to me and doesnt have a call centre.
My friend’s ISP however helped them out and I just used their solution.
The issue is the ISP routing through IPv6 that does something that blocks connections with some applications. The solution was to force your mobile device to only support IPv4. Once I made that change (which was a process) and rebooted my mobile device, it started working.
Curious observation though, all my other apps and mobile games worked and connected with no issues, only SWGOH had this issue.
