Endless Download

Even though the device is connected to Wi-Fi, the attached image message keeps appearing.

Same here. For me the update went live at 9:15 PM last night, right now it's 6 PM the next day. I spent several hours with the WI-FI on my phone turned on and I still keep getting the same pop-up that the update still hasn't finished downloading and that I need a WI-FI connection, and it just keeps showing 1MB left to download.

And while we're on the subject, do we really need to have WI-FI turned on every time there's an update? I mean, some of us have unlimited data, so what's the point? If we're out taking care of something or if the power is out, what then? Example, my laptop for some reason (maybe because it's 8-9 years old at this point) has been having WI-FI trouble for a while - if I'm right next to the router, the connection is perfectly fine, but if I'm two or more feet away even when still in the same room it is much weaker, to the point the connection is lost; so I have to use my phone as a hotspot (unlimited data, so no worries), but I can't have the WI-FI and the hotspot both turned on; meaning, each time an update becomes live, I have to go without any internet on my laptop, even though I should be perfectly able to download the update with the phone data. Again, this is just an example to prove my point.

Yes, my husband tried that with his. It did not fix it.
