Note that I find it *extremely* disrespectful to players and guilds for the game to ask a player to leave their guild. This quest should not exist (at least for players not in a "starter" guild)

I also have this problem, and many others according to this topic: https://forums.galaxy-of-heroes.starwars.ea.com/discussion/171067/heroic-rancor-quest-please-help. There's also a screenshot of the issue (similar to what I see).
Me and my guild have been doing Heroic Rancor for months. Other people also report that doing the HPIT does not solve the issue, the quest remains stuck at the "Join a new guild" part.
I hope you can fix this soon!

I am having the same issues. It is a huge oversight on the development team and is not fair to us players stuck in this quest. If we leave our guild we are effected by TB, STR, Haat, and Pit rewards. We lose all progress on donations for a lifetime ( we track that in our guild) and it is not a good look at all for the moral of your guild. So now i lose progress or I don't get guild quest rewards until its fixed. I really hope the players that have to make a decision on this get rewarded when it is fixed because we just lost out while waiting on it to be fixed.

same issue for me. do not want to leave my guild, where i am an officer.
doing a HPIT does not unlock the quest, so it seems the game just want us to change guild....

I have the same problem too. Ally Code 575-932-367 I think this is for all players not just several random players.
Also i have a question about the quest for "Donate Gear". It says "Donate 100 Gear to Guild members." I donate total of 168 pieces of gear, but in the quest it says 53/100...
