New Guild members unable to join in-progress raid

Per the Update notes from the 2/28 SWGOH update: Link

  • Raids: Fixed issue where players joining a guild can no longer attempt to join an in-progress raid.

However, three new guild members were all unable to join an in-progress T6 Sith Triumvirate raid that was in-progress upon joining the guild.

Is this working as intended, or am I misintrepreting the note above?

  • Haven't seen other reports but it's definitely not working as intended, we had the same issue several times now so we went back to waiting with raid launches if we know that we have new members incoming.
  • I think it is working as intended, the point is to prevent guild hopping, to finish a raid and then move on.

Well there's really no way to prevent it and guild hopping is still possible, it just requires a bit more coordination - there's nothing stopping you from kicking a few members to make space for some (or just one, depending on the raid) heavy-hitters to come in and help you through a tough raid. We just had a sister guild do a Heroic Sith Raid that way 🙂

Besides, the notes and text description imply that this should now be possible, and it isn't. If the fix in question was not meant for this scenario then go out and say so and update the notes so it's more clear. And if it for this scenario and it's still not working then go out and say so as well 🙂
