The THIRD time it happens to me, I'll be sure to give you your screenshots.
My statement was that our logs show that players who claim to have signed up for TW didn't. This statement doesn't exclude the possibility that there might be a bug somewhere. That's why we need a few examples which can be verified with evidence.
If I go investigating your account against other accounts which reported the same issue I will most probably waste my time because your example might be valid and I might be comparing your stats with someone else's stats who actually forgot that they didn't sign up. So chances are that I am gathering stats and logs for 1 account with issues and 1 account without issues which basically invalidates my testing.
If you say that this occurred 2 times for you already, it means that you have greater chances of it happening again. If you will be able to provide screenshots it would definitely help our investigation. If we get more than 1 example which can be proven with screenshots/videos then we might actually get to the root cause of this issue faster.
I understand this is frustrating and I do apologize for the inconvenience.
Some issues are very easy to identify and reproduce, others aren't. This is a situation of "please help us so we can help you back".

Different from the greyed button bug (which I have also experienced & worked around) and different from this current problem.
I signed up for the current TW on Sept 17, but when iot kicked off on Sept 18 TW I was not included as a participant. I don't know exactly when in that 20-22 hour timeframe that I was kicked out, but it happened.

Been reading the comments since posting the Bug Report and with the latest TW it happenend again, though the people affected in my guild didn't made screenshots.
The thing I lean most towards to is that it is very possible, there being a client side cache problem, giving communication problems with the server.
Also noteworthy, that it might include people who switch accounts on one device, like for instance iOS, between guest and Game Center accounts and that something will go wrong with cache that was actually stored from the other account giving problems, because it wasn't cleaned out.
At least I have noticed, while switching the game it becomes terribly slow, so I still need to quit the game and open it again to delete the cache that way! - 7 years ago
This last war it hapoened to me for the first time. This is a real pain. Ive never missed anything for the guild. Please figure this out and compensate each player involved. Its just the right thing to do and its would be great customer service. Since we all know the customer is always right.

Go in, click the (grayed out) join button, and look for your name in the list - you should see a time next to your name, not just "--".
Please monitor your guild's registrations as well - ensure that the players that aren't registered truly meant to not register. Help us collect info! - 7 years ago

In my game on iOS, the button was still Grayed out. I'm glad in your video it appears not to be grayed out.
Have you tried to go back into the TW to see if you're still on the list?

Yes, I nav'd out to the main screen, used the shortcut bubble to go back to the Guild Event page, and it still showed me as being signed up.
Remember, I had an issue with the TW at the end of June, and the most recent one, but all others went through without any issues. So 2 out of ~40 or so? That's a pretty low rate of occurrence (even though the impact of missing those 2 events is major).

Trying to collect some data on the off chance that one of us will get kicked out in a way that generates data for HighCommand and MindTricks is a way we can positively contribute.
Posts that do nothing but complain will not help us get to the heart of the problem - therefore I'm trying to steer people towards helpful! - 7 years ago
To everyone who has been affected and want to help out and prevent this from ever happening again, please make screenshots on a regular basis and right before the end of the join phase, the whole member-list who joined to check see for yourself who left, forgot and got booted out.

I checked your account now and can see that this time you got registered correctly for the TW (21/09-24/09) and you were able to participate.
This doesn't exclude the possibility of a bug though.

If you sign up for TW and leave, it gets registered and we can see it. So for the next TWs a screenshot showing your name on the list of members who signed up will suffice.

I'm baffled as to why I would get a comprehensive reply for the event which I reported no issues, but have been ignored for the event I *did* experience issues with.
I'm well aware that you can see when I'm registered for TW's, and if I leave an event. I'm well aware that I am not having any issues with the current TW, I did not need that investigated.
I reported to you that I was involuntarily kicked from the previous TW (Sept 17-20). It would be helpful to me if you looked at the registration for that event, told me if my registration was never registered by the server, if my registration was dropped for some reason, or any other anomalies that you might find.
I'm angry because the replies have heavily insinuated that i just didn't sign up, but have given me *NO* indication that you have ever looked at the server logs against the event which I experienced issues with. But yet, it looks like you took the time to investigate the event that I *DIDN'T* have issues with?!?!
I also have not been given any answer as to *HOW* a screenshot of my registration might help. Logically, it's just an insinuation that I didn't sign up, and by pushing me to screenshot my registration, you're telling me that you don't believe I actually registered. In the context of everything else, that really just rubs me the wrong way.
If you want to actually find the cause of this bug @CG_MindTricks, I'll be happy to work with you to determine the cause of a *KNOWN INCIDENT*, my registration for the Sept 17-20 Territory War, Ally Code 773-259-687.

@WotY_72 We double checked your account and for the month of September, the server logs show that you only signed up for the TWs that I marked in bold below:
1st-4th of September
9th-12th of September
17th-20th of September
21st-24th of September
Now what this tells me is that if you are 100% sure you did sign up for the 17th-20th of September TW, the issue is not with being "dropped out" because there was no sign up registered in the first place. The issue must be somewhere else.
Given this information, if you do encounter this issue again, a screenshot would be of great help. And this is not just for you, it's for anyone who reports this issue.
If we get at least a few examples which can be verified by screenshots we can start looking at all the account specifics and see what's the connection.
NOTE: This is for everyone who has reported that they signed up for TW and then the event disappeared for them: Without video or screenshot record of your sign up, all we can do at the moment is to check the server logs and tell you if you signed up for a specific TW or not.

Thank you @CG_MindTricks, that tells me that the theory that this is a sync bug is very much more likely. I'm not sure how the different game modules interact/handoff with each other, but it appears that my signup was dropped on the client side before it synced to the server.
I do have connectivity dead spots that I frequently pass through, where I'll be moving out of wifi coverage & may not have LTE yet. I've had occasions where I'll be in a battle, and after it ends I'll get a "check your connection" pop up....but I've never had issues with the battle not registering after I regain connectivity.
My best guess at this stage is that somehow the game allowed me to appear to join when I was disconnected, and then failed to pass the TW registration when I reconnected? Just hypothesizing, but that game module cache handoff might be a good place to focus your investigation. Or possibly they could code in that the 'Join' button be deactivated when you lose connection? Or do a behind-the-scenes confirmation handshake for the registration, and pop an error dialogue if you're offline?
Regardless, thanks for checking the server log against my account. I'm going to try signing up for the next TW from a known dead spot, and see what happens when I get back online.

I highly doubt this is a connectivity issue given that there are so many incidences of this happening. It's not mass amounts of people started walking into dead zones while playing. I'm never more than 8 ft from my router while playing, and I was kicked out of the previous TW.
You two keep saying you want the players help. So I'll help you since you guys dont seem to get it. Compensate the players who are claiming this issue with some zetas, and gear it would cost you NOTHING to do so. It would alleviate much of the player frustration while you figure out what's going on. That would be much better than refusing to acknowledge that this is happening to players, and pissing them off. This issue is 100% your fault no matter what you find the bug to be, accept responsibility and take care of your damn customers. I work in customer service, and when a customer comes to you with a problem the last thing on Earth that you should do is blatantly doubt them. Own up to this, it cost you NOTHING. Good god

The problem is currently that we don't know what's going on. If there is a server/client communication issue, I don't know if it's related to a device going through a dead zone, or more of a server-side problem. Currently this is the best hypothesis I've seen that fits all the data, but it's not confirmed yet.
I personally believe the grayed out "Join" button also contributes to this problem, because rather than checking the list for their names, players just see the button grayed out and assume they are in. Again, just a theory however.
In terms of player compensation, I am not an EA/CG employee - I am just a volunteer who helps out answering questions on this forum. MindTricks and HighCommand are EA employees, but they are not in customer support. This forum is strictly for the identification of bugs (and helping answer questions from players who believe they have experienced a bug).
Players seeking compensation for this issue should contact Customer Support.

Yeah, I hear you man.
just to be clear, I don't think it's a connectivity issue at the root, I think it is a cache syncing issue between the sub-modules of the game. To explain that a little bit better, I think that I can going to the Territory War page and sign up, exit out of that page and go to a different part of the game, and my client side software dumps that Territor War registration before it synchronizes with the server.
I think that in my specific instance, my intermittent conn issues might trigger the big somehow, that the slight delay of connection might make it more likely for my data to get dumped by the bug.
Dunno.
What I *do* know, is that customer support is not going to do a damn thing for you until this is recognized as a 'known issue'.

@GladOS-013: Hey I appreciate you communicating, knowing somebody is hearing us is somewhat comforting. But I do not appreciate being led in a loop. Pretty sure we already established that going to customer support is not a valid solution. I'm not sure why you keep recommending that? A discussion about compensation should be had right here. I for the life of me, have no idea why you, and cg seem so reluctant to give out some kind of compensation for the troubles caused by your glitch. There are many people on this board who have missed out on literally months worth of progress. At this point I dont know if you're a bot with auto replies, or you're just being sarcastic. I find both scenarios very frustrating at this point. If you are in contact with actual EA employees, you need to tell them that they need to seriously address compensating players regarding this issue asap! That is something that you could do, that would actually be productive.

Hi @ninjah9 : I'm not attempting to lead you or anyone in a loop. I'm just repeating what the actual EA employees keep saying - compensation does not come from these forums. Customer Support is the place to go.
I'm not a CG or EA employee, so I have no ability to give out compensation in-game (nor do I own any of the glitches!) I also don't know what the escalation protocol is through Customer Support if you aren't satisfied with how they have handled your case.
I am curious as to who has missed out on "literally months worth of progress" due to these issues. Of all the people I've seen on these threads, there are a couple who said they have missed out on more than one Territory War, but the majority of the players are "one-offs".
I am neither a bot, nor am I attempting to be sarcastic. This forum serves a very specific purpose, of trying to identify bugs so EA_MindTricks and EA_HighCommand can forward that information to the development team for fixes. I am in contact with those guys - and so are you! They read these forums, and can see all the requests that are made here.
Did anyone from your guild experience this issue for the current Territory War? I was expecting a salvo of new reports, but it's been very quiet...

I have the same issue, also in the same Guild as threadstarter ( i even made his snapshots...) and now it my turn to be left out from TW while being sure i joined..
I hate missing out on TW, our guild lost one battle so far and the payouts are always welcome so is there any resolve towards this issue ?
Can i get back in, is there going to be a collective pardon towards this issue ?( i.a.; Im talking about yesterdays signup for TW if that matters)

So putting your mocking, and skeptical tone aside (which is another huge issue with your handling of this situation) you are just plain wrong. Here are 24 instances of players missing at least more than one TW. That alone amounts to at least 10 months worth of progress players have missed out on. And that is just the people who took the time to report it. The last post #24 missed out on 3-4 TW's that's about a month's worth just for one player! Because of your horrible handling of this situation, and treatment of players/customers with doubt and skepticism, I have concluded that the #11th post has the right idea. I advise all players having this issue to seriously consider contacting the BBB (Better Buisness Bureau) about this companies poor handling of this situation, especially since many players have spent serious cash on this game.
[11).Another guild member and myself have also experienced this glitch/bug. I experienced it during the war last week. He's experiencing it this week. 5).Dito. Definitely joined the TW and then it has vanished. Majority of my guild is currently playing this TW and I can’t even see it despite reading the in-game chat from members that had more luck. It’s now the 2nd time in sequence that this has happened to me and other guild members.

7).Seriously, this is massively annoying. From a rewards perspective, but also from a team support and statistics angle. we are running tight stats recording in our guild and such bugs render the entire effort useless.

This happened to about a third of my guild including myself ("Galactic Paladins").
14).For me, TW never even showed up in my Guild Events, or if it did, it was brief. Just over half the guild was in TW when there were multiple complaints coming in about not even seeing a "JOIN" phase. Lowest attendance we've had in TW due to this glitch. NOW, the calendar says that there is supposed to be a TW today (June 14th), but no one in my guild is seeing a "JOIN" phase in guild events.
15).Mee too, today is the 2nd time this happened. I joined the TB then in prepare phase I was closed out and the ebent is not visible in–game.
EA: this needs to be resolved NOW. You are milking people and publishing DLC/Unlockables all the time... but why not giving such severe bugs priority as well?!
16).This time it happened to me like that too. Two other times the TW did not even show up for me.
I already contacted the support, but they neither want to help, nor do i get any compensation for the won TWs that i now missed. They just said there is no visible error.

17).I've missed the last two TW's now due to this bug. Let me break it down simply.
a) I joined the TW registration.
b) It DIDNT have a greyed out button. I just clicked join as normal.
c) It showed me listed as joined on the guild list.
d) TW launches
e) I'm not in the TW and it's not showing as active on the App.
18).Territory wars are not showing up, I can see the territory battles, however no TW. This happened a couple of months ago and eventually got solved after missing 2 zetas of rewards. This time I have been unable to join (event doesn’t even show) twice already and three times including the TW scheduled for today,
19).Some members including me joined the TW join phase and got kicked out after the join phase was past.
Now people can't play the TW off course and this isn't the first time it happened.
Can't seem to chat with USA EA support atm, but this issue is starting to get on my nerves.

Will be checking in everyday for 1 week, that should be more than enough time for them to address us at least saying "yes there is a glitch/bug, and yes we're working to resolve it" instead of this silent game B.S.
12).I am having the same issue, last 2 wars nothing, missed out ona lot of rewards and leaving and rejoining does not exactly work for the GM.

14).Same here, didn't get the invite 2 days ago, didn't get the signup today either.
This happened to about a third of my guild including myself ("Galactic Paladins").
14).For me, TW never even showed up in my Guild Events, or if it did, it was brief. Just over half the guild was in TW when there were multiple complaints coming in about not even seeing a "JOIN" phase. Lowest attendance we've had in TW due to this glitch. NOW, the calendar says that there is supposed to be a TW today (June 14th), but no one in my guild is seeing a "JOIN" phase in guild events.
15).Mee too, today is the 2nd time this happened. I joined the TB then in prepare phase I was closed out and the ebent is not visible in–game.
EA: this needs to be resolved NOW. You are milking people and publishing DLC/Unlockables all the time... but why not giving such severe bugs priority as well?!
16).This time it happened to me like that too. Two other times the TW did not even show up for me.
I already contacted the support, but they neither want to help, nor do i get any compensation for the won TWs that i now missed. They just said there is no visible error.
17).Good luck. Had this problem on the last TW in August and still nothing. They don’t care.
17).I've missed the last two TW's now due to this bug. Let me break it down simply.
a) I joined the TW registration.
b) It DIDNT have a greyed out button. I just clicked join as normal.
c) It showed me listed as joined on the guild list.
d) TW launches
e) I'm not in the TW and it's not showing as active on the App.
18).Territory wars are not showing up, I can see the territory battles, however no TW. This happened a couple of months ago and eventually got solved after missing 2 zetas of rewards. This time I have been unable to join (event doesn’t even show) twice already and three times including the TW scheduled for today,
19).Some members including me joined the TW join phase and got kicked out after the join phase was past.
Now people can't play the TW off course and this isn't the first time it happened.
Can't seem to chat with USA EA support atm, but this issue is starting to get on my nerves.
20).For me this is the second time this has happened within the period of the last three Territory wars from this date
21).We are now seeing this same issue for the 3rd TW in a row.
Where are you on fixing the issue?
22).Will there be any compensation for the guilds who’ve suffered losses based on guildmates not being able to join TW’s (going back 3 TW’s to date)?
23).This is the third week of the territory War / battle join button being bugged. When is this fix going to be rolled out? This is preventing players from joining
24).We have just managed to get enough for TW this time, but in the past 3 or 4 we've missed out at least twice.P.S: You should do the players, and this company a favor, and quit this job.

So putting your mocking, and skeptical tone aside (which is another huge issue with your handling of this situation) you are just plain wrong. Here are 24 instances of players missing at least more than one TW. That alone amounts to at least 10 months worth of progress players have missed out on. And that is just the people who took the time to report it. The last post #24 missed out on 3-4 TW's that's about a month's worth just for one player! Because of your horrible handling of this situation, and treating of players/customers with doubt and skepticism, I have concluded that the #11th post has the right idea. I advise all players having this issue to seriously consider this.

I am not "telling you" to go to Customer Support. I am telling you that Customer Support is the place to go for compensation. That is just a fact, and regardless of how agitated that makes you, the fact doesn't change. To provide an analogy that hopefully will help: If you go to McDonald's and ask for a taco, they cannot give you a taco. They can only direct you to the nearest restaurant that serves tacos (if they are attempting to be helpful - otherwise they'll just tell you to go away). You may not like the tacos at that other restaurant...but McDonald's doesn't have any.
I am sorry if you found my tone skeptical or mocking. It was intended to be "snarky," but you seem to be too agitated to appreciate that. I will attempt to be less snarky when directing comments at you. Please keep in mind that mischaracterizing the scope of an issue (such as through exaggeration) is not helpful, and claiming that people are literally missing out on months worth of rewards is not accurate.
In terms of your last comment, I would appreciate if you would read my posts and signature more carefully. I am not an EA/CG employee, I am just a volunteer who helps out on these forums. I would also like to direct you to the Dos and Don'ts of this Forum.
The signup period for the next Territory War should start in a few hours. Let's see what data can be collected this time-around and see if we can identify the issue that players are experiencing! The first step to fixing a problem is understanding it!

@GladOS-013: @Tacos!!? After all that, you talk about tacos!!? This is a total joke! You keep saying you are not an employee, while at the same time you seem to be the only person responding to this problem... so what does that tell us about this companies response to the issue??? They are not taking it seriously aka it's a joke. And I will be reporting this to the BBB. I found posts about this issue as far back as January
