TU24 Kam Mission Bug - Stand Your Ground Doesnt Recover Protection

Previously when max protection was regained by removing trample, any remaining protection prior to the trample being applied came back, now this does not happen. Hence the bug report people have submitted.

If this is how it was intended to work then you’ve essentially stealth buffed the KAM mission.

Please don’t take this the wrong way…

1. Players across the game are spending hours live streaming, modded and playing this event 

2. It is a significantly challenging event that creates stress for players in the guild to succeed individually and to generate target numbers each month

3. You fixed a “bug” during an event that changes a dynamic that has been there forever, without telling anyone.

4. You decide to fix it and make the event more difficult after the largest guilds have completed their KAM runs, but the smaller guilds are just getting ramped up on a very difficult event

I am willing to bet that the fix was related to something that you observed with bad batch, but you really should tell people about this in advance and maybe not drop this kind of fix while players are attempting KAM.

Do you see an issue with this?

It is 100% not working as intended. My Shaak Ti was hit with one attack from Reek. Then her very first turn she used Stand Your Ground. She had only taken one hit. She had not lost all her protection. She should have come back up to ~60% protection or so. This is how it has worked in the last 5 territory battles.

Unless you are telling me you changed it to work this way on purpose??? Which makes no sense. Did you really think this mission needed to be harder???

Could you please explain why stand your ground, based on your description, functions different than other abilities that grant increases in max protection like Sith Eternal Emperor's "Sow Discord" or Emperor Palpatine's "crackling doom"? Both of those abilities increase max protection from their trigger but also grant the protection to accommodate that max protection gain. This same interaction is why if you die while fighting 501st allies while General Skywalker is sitting with no protection, the next attempt in the battle has General Skywalker with much more protection than he was left with.

@EA_UltraSlideWait a second, are you saying that it's the developers intention to have our protection reduced by 50% even before we get our 1st turn? Even more since Trampled can't be evaded?

When someone steals you $50 and you "recover" those $50 back you don't get $50 back? Your profit is 0, I get that, but you have "recovered" your $50.

Please rethink what you are saying because it does not make any sense. The protection that was removed should be reinstated.

These are screenshots of how it worked prior.  Yes the Stand Your Ground doesn't specifically say it gives you protection.  It is the trample that takes it away and removing trample would give it back.

I think we need clarification on how Trample/SYG works.

Max health is reduced before damage is applied - see GAS.

If this mechanic is applied the same way, then the protection that is reduced is never damaged, and just covered as inaccessible. Upon removal of trample by SYG, you aren't recovering protection, your hidden protection is just being uncovered.

How dare you make this change in such a way. Middle of TB, without telling anyone, and with an update that was already bugged.
The fact is that this has been going on since the beginning of the LSGTB is absolutely obsured..
For someone who has worked extremely hard (streaming over 60 battles alone this TB), this is not a simple 'Mistake' or an 'oopsy'.

so basically, you are now saying that a mission that needed incredible requirements minimum of relics, with a massive amount of RNG now got even harder. 
Yes I have seen the odd one win with a G12 clone or Shaak here and there, but even at low relics (R3) the mission is doable but extremely difficult and require a very very specific modding and walk through.
Compare to the Wat mission, where you can win comforably with G12, and auto at R3 and above, you have now completely destroyed the mission.

Why can't you leave this as it was?
Even now with full R7 and good mods you can beat it, but I did 3 last night, won 1 even with an R8 ARC and fives one had, we still lost... it was insane.. no chance anymore and you have taken the RNG factor to such a low, that a lot of guilds will now struggle to get a high number of shard, which also ruins the guild motivation to work towards a 7* KAM. With that said, the frustration will grow and more people will lose interest if they now need instead, 10 to 12 months for a 7* KAM, they will now need 15+ ... which is A LOT for one character.. Wat was a lot easier to aquire, even at low GP guilds.

Doing KAM during TB was a huge highlight for me, since I am crazy about TB. Spending hours and sleepless nights working with people, remodding, and doing the mission with them via streaming. But now this just seems like a joke to you.

A crazy hard mission which brought joy to a lot who beat it, now is even harder, and moves that have to be done 100% exact, that is just silly and totally unrealistic.
Again, compared to the Wat Mission, specifially mission this just is not alright..

Oh and not to mention that you have stolen at least 10 to 20 shards from a lot of guild who only do P3 south on day 4... not very friendly once again GC/EA

You find the most pecurliar ways to make people purposely frustraded at this game. I am not saying make the KAM mission easier, but leave it as it was. It was balanced then, fun, and brought enjoyment to those beating. Even about 10 players beat it for the first time this time with me.. and I am sure there are a lot more out there that want to be able to build on that, but now you have made it extremely difficult

We would not at all consider this resolved. This issue cost many guilds a significant amount of shards, for our guild it was approximately 10

 @EA_UltraSlide This is the far and away most consequential problem for player progression that has hit this game in years and there has been no mention of a make good.  What gives?
