February 6, 2025 Patch. The Sims 1 Legacy cannot run. Error Vulkan

I don't think those support vulkan if I'm understanding what I'm looking at

Derp you knew that. Unfortunately this version of The Sims 1 Complete Collection requires Vulkan api to run. If you can find the cd version that should be able to run on your system with a little work

Add:: dunno if you played it as a kid but if you did it was possibly at a relatives. See if they still have their disks

I am having the problem as well, supposedly the update today was suppose to fix this issue, but it has not at all. I opened a new ticket with EA since that said it was fixed this morning with the new patch. Lots are having this issue as well. 

Those notes I think we're poorly worded. I think it fixes the issue of GPU vs integrated causing the error. Not that the game does not require vulkan compatibility now

I honestly think this is at best they overlooked that though vulkan compatability is common now, there are still many systems without it. At worst they know this and are acting like it's fixable to let refund windows close

Add:: if it's the worst it has nothing to do with the devs, only the suits
