musicfightclub14 Uncookedfern 2hnjhe22uvnz ianwogorman Have any of you tried uninstalling and reinstalling your newest VC++ runtimes? If not, please try it. Open Windows Settings > Apps, scroll down to the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables, and uninstall everything from 2015 and newer. Don't touch the older versions.
Download the x86 and x64 versions (not the ARM version) of the 2022 runtimes from Microsoft:

Install them, restart the virtual machine (a proper restart; don't just quit Parallels), and try again to play.
I don't actually know whether Sims 1 will run in Parallels, but this is what helped most players running Windows natively, so it's worth a shot.

Completed these steps, no change - app still does not launch.
