Sims 1 legacy collection still won't launch after update

Title basically says it all. Not sure if there's something I can do to help fix the issue but it really sucks that half of what I purchased doesn't even work. Since I bought the bundle and I have more than 2 hours in Sims 2 Steam will not give me a refund. This is so disappointing and frustrating.
