Sims 1 Legacy Edition Crashes with only custom sims.

Hello!

I purchased the Birthday Bundle edition of the Sims (1&2) on EA APP and I discovered something related to Sims 1. In my experience, I could play the sims 1 perfectly on friday but yesterday I couldn't play anymore for more than 2 minutes because every time I came to my saved game the game crashed. 

But I noticed it only crashed with that game, with my sim, because when I play with the families that comes with the game, for example, the goth family, I can play perfectly and it doesnt' crash at all. 

So... maybe the crashing it is related to corrupted save files? I don't know if anyone is having the same experience as me, that only can play with the families that comes with the game and not with custom ones.

    Happened to me as well, it seems to be related to pets and strays. I added a no strays sign as suggested in this thread and it stopped crashing.

    Try it and report if it works for you, maybe it's the same issue.

    I have the same problem, and putting no strays sign worked for me for a moment... until it started crashing from the mail delivery girl coming to my lot :( I feel so disappointed that it crashes so much

    Mine crashed at the 3 hour mark. I can play for 3 hours, then no matter what I'm doing or where I'm at, the game crashes. I was in studio town at the karaoke lot last time it crashed. First time was on my home lot while redoing the house.

    Another possible fix for some other crashes is to turn sim voices in the options. I think the option is called vox and should be in the sound settings somewhere. It's the last one anyway, just turn the bar all the way down. There are some reports it helping. I did it after my game crashed again and it didn't crash since, but I haven't played a lot after that.

    Though if it specifically happens when the mail delivery girl comes, it might not be related to sim voices at all. I'm sorry to say I haven't encountered a fix for that yet. Hopefully EA patches it soon.
