Ever since the last update for the 25th birthday set the sims will not load correctly it only flashes, all issues with the sims 2 was fixed but now I am unable to play The Sims. When it does stop flashing for a moment the bottom of the screen is cut off.

Literally having the same problem. I've tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling so many times, as well as repairing the game in between with no success.
Hello, a few days ago I bought the Sims Legacy Edition, the bundle that includes Sims 1 and 2, and it turns out I'm having this problem. It only happens to me in Sims 1. The other Sims games I have work just fine.

I got The Sims 1 Legacy and now I can't play it cause everytime I get into the game my screen starts to flicker, coming into the game and my PC Desktop. It keeps flashing and changing screens non-stop, from the game interface to my desktop screen, and vice versa. Could anyone who has faced this issue help me?

I’ve been having this issue for 2 months now, still no help from EA other than them “putting in a ticket” because I messaged them twice about it
I also had this issue. I found that putting it into windowed mode solved the problem. To do that, I had to launch the game, click into a household, and then click on the display settings. I also changed the resolution, but I'm not sure if that had an effect.
