So I'm struggling here. I have a pet, and have grinding my tricks, obedience ect, but come to find out I thought my sim was washing my pet but doesn't actually do it. So he fills the tub, calls, and then it drains immediately. I've put the wash station against the wall, outside, in an open space. The pet will be directly next to the tub. Deleted the tub, bought a new one. Nothing I do will get my pet to be cleaned, and now the pet will run away. Any ideas?

This behavior usually happens when The Sims 1: Unleashed fails to complete the pet-washing interaction even though it looks like it starts correctly. The “fill tub then instantly drain” loop is typically caused by routing issues or a stuck interaction queue rather than the bathtub itself. Even if the pet appears to be standing right next to the tub, Sims 1 can be very sensitive about tile alignment and invisible pathing blocks, so the game may be cancelling the action before it actually begins.
It can help to test in a very open space with nothing nearby at all, then try resetting both the Sim and the pet to clear any stuck commands. Pets that have repeatedly failed to be washed can also start behaving like their needs are not being properly processed, which is often why they eventually run away. In some cases, simply relocating the bath to a completely new lot or rebuilding the room from scratch resolves the issue.
On a different note, a lot of players who enjoy Sims pets also like using real-life grooming and comfort items to keep their actual dogs calm during bath time. I can also confirm that I also cannot wash a pet in the tub on any community lot, regardless of whether the tub was already there by default or I placed it myself.
Can confirm that I cannot wash a pet in the tub when on the home lot. The pet will route to the tub, but the pet will never actually be washed inside the tub, and instead, the tub will be drained immediately.

I created them for myself, most I made back when Sims 1 was still newer, though I never shared them anywhere. I figured I'd share them now with this re-release and the renewed interest in the game.
Where did you find all of these patches?
I tried but still not working so I have installed the fix mentioned below for now and that works great.
I haven't tested today's patch yet. Has this been fixed?
