The Sims 1 Legacy Makin' Magic Missing Gameplay features

The Sims 1 Makin' Magic originally had a gameplay feature in which as you go to the magic world and create crystals, duel with other sims and create spells spells, some magic crystals and trees would randomly appear on your lot. Those crystals would give the sim magic powers (like teleport).

I've been playing the Makin' Magic and created almost all the crystals and spells from the spell book and not a single one has yet appeard. I really miss that gameplay feature
