Bugs in the sims 2: legacy

Hi! I had no problem with installing and starting the game. I made a new sim and started playing. Unfortunately, there are a lot of bugs in the game itself. For instance, when I want to cook a meal the sims cook it and then resets itself resulting in the disappearance of the food. I am also unable to great people on public lots as it does the same thing. This random reset when interacting with something happens so much that the game is almost unplayable.
