I also don't have a solution, but running into the same issue. Random bugs and crashing - the worse of which is that when I save, then exit a lot, then come back to it the game resets as if it's the first time I've loaded it. It's really strange because any skills, career advancement, age up are retained along with memories, but the lot itself resets. One other major issue with this is I had a puppy join my household. I saved the lot, then exited. A crash happened and when I loaded the household back up the dog was gone. I shudder to think what might happen if one of my families had a new baby.
This exactly what has been happening to me as well.
