Anyone having problems with 'Application has crashed, application will now terminate.' on sims 2 legacy while create a family? How to fix it please 🙏🏻

I'm also having this issue but also just during game play, it feels like every 20 minutes it crashes and without any warning so i cant save my game before it goes. I hope they fix this, its dumb.
