Yes, I am also getting the same message error. I bought the birthday bundle on the EA app, and when I downloaded the Sims 2 and tried launching it, it also appeared with the message “Some needed files were corrupted during the installation. Please reinstall the application.” I tried the repair button, but that didn’t work. I also tried uninstalling the app through the EA app, but that didn’t work so ai went to my system apps settings and uninstalled there. Redownloaded, and still didn’t work, so I reset my PC, but that didn’t help. Tried redownloading three more times, didn’t work. Hopefully they fix this issue soon! I’m assuming they might’ve messed up some of the launching files when they added them back on the EA app. Apparently people are able to launch the game through steam, but once they create a family and load, it crashes. But they can’t launch the Sims 1. Someone on this thread said they could launch the Sims 1 fine, so I will try to download and launch on the EA app.
