Sims on 2 drives?

So on my new computer I have The Sims 2 installed on my ssd but I don't want my game saves and all my downloads there. Can I somehow make them go to my hdd and the game still find them and play?

  • Your saves will go to whatever drive your My Documents is on. You would have to move that folder to your HDD to do that.

I see your avatar is Sims 3 which means you would lose the speed on loading the parts of Sims 3 that reference your My Documents - saves, CC, custom/store worlds. It would also affect any other games that you have that stores their saves in My Documents.

Here's a link to the instructions on how to do this:

  • Thank you Seera1024. My avatar is sims 3 but I don't even have it loaded and have no plans to any time soon. I love sims 2 way more and play sims 4 a little. Thanks for your help, I will check into this more and follow your link.
