BrennStar11 Try launching the game in Windowed mode. In EA App, click on the three dots on the Sims 2 game tile and select View Properties. In the Advanced Launch Options box, add "-w" (without quotation marks) and save.
You can also delete The Sims 2 Legacy folder in Documents\EA Games\ to make sure the game generates a fresh one when it launches. If it still crashes, please run a DxDiag and attach it to your reply.

Hey there, at first the -w solution worked as it let me get past the loading screen to start the game. Trying to launch it again though, it went back to shutting down with no error message. I deleted the folder and tried to run it again, but same issue. I am attaching the DxDiag file now. Thank you for your help!

BrennStar11 Could you also provide your DESKTOP/LAPTOP-config-log.txt from Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Legacy? I forgot to ask for that when I requested a DxDiag.
