The Sims 2 Legacy Collection launches in low resolution and you can't change it

At first, I had DirectX 9 error and the game didn't launch at all. The error was fixed with the new patches but now it launches in a small window and at a low resolution. There is no option to change the resolution in the game once it's running (the only available resolution in the game properties is 640x480). Please fix this, as 480p is very low. It would also be great to have full-screen mode enabled by default on launch.
I have a laptop with a GTX 1660 Ti graphics card.
