Apparently they had a few cars available for free at the TS2 website back then, I found the Ford cars here: https://missmaxoid.livejournal.com/5862.html

Haven't tried to install then yet, they're in sims2pack format but I'm sure there's a way to convert it to package files.

Anyway, it would certainly be nice if they were included within TS2 Legacy.
