A long time ago I started a Sims 3 diary in my native language, and now I decided that I wanted to share it in English as well. At first we start off with Violet Green, who moves to Riverdale to find a new life. Eventually the family name changes and we see how the family Wolve goes on to live in Bridgeport, Isla Paradiso, Aurora Skies, Oasis Landing and so forth.
The family tree and the original website that I started the diary on (in Dutch) can be found here.
I will be starting to post chapters in the comments of this post shortly.
So, for the first few chapters, I'm starting with a condensed mashup of a few original chapters. When I started out I made some rookie mistakes, such as leaving the walls down, not removing the plumbob and posting about some un-interesting things. It gets better eventually. I hope you enjoy!
Chapter 1: a new start
This is Violet Green, a beautiful young woman with a big dream of becoming a journalist. She has just arrived at her new little home in Riverview. "I wonder what my new house looks like on the inside!"
Violet thinks the house is so ugly that she'd rather walk right back outside. Honestly, I don't blame her—but I drag her back in anyway. :')
First things first: time to get a job! After all, the bills won't pay themselves. And this place definitely needs a renovation... Luckily, there was still an opening in the Journalism career! She hasn't even been here half a day, and she's already chasing her dreams. You go, Violet!
The next day
Violet wakes up excitedly, because it's the first day of her new job as a journalist. Because it's a summery, sunny day, she takes her bread and jam outside to the picknick table.
While Violet is happily enjoying her meal, her carpool suddenly pulls up outside. I'm not entirely sure what she's trying to say with that expression, but it looks something like, "Ooh, I hope my coworker is boyfriend material."
Off to her first day at work! :) Of course, the first thing to do is sneak a peek at her coworker to see if he'd make a good love interest. Nah... I don't think so. He doesn't exactly look like the friendliest guy around.
The following morning
It's early morning in Riverview. The sun hasn't risen yet, but lights are already on in a few houses—including Violet's. Appearantly her workday didn't go too wel yesterday. It also appears Violet does not have the same ambitions that she had when she first arrived.
With her salary from yesterday we were able to buy a few nice things. After the phone call, Violet immediately sits down at her newest purchase: a prehistoric second-hand computer. But hey, at least it has internet! Now that she's off sick anyway, she has time to create a dating profile.
After that, it's waffle time. It is immediately clear that Violet Green is not the queen of the kitchen. Hopefully she doesn't pass this gene on, or there'll be a lot of fires.
When Violet moved in, she planted some cabbage. Since she hadn't watered it for two days, it didn't look to happy. Time to save it's life. "GROW Frederic, GROW!"
Appearantly, in Riverview, you can earn some money by donating plasma to vampires. After all they also need to eat.
Back home, unfortunately, our heroine comes to the unfortunate conclusions that the Riverview municipal also requires bills to be paid. Bye bye savings...
Leisure day
The last portion of the pancakes she made the other day. After all, there are starving children in Strangetown.
After finishing the plate, she leaves it outside. After all, it's leisure day.
It's really time to buy her a car. That's gonna be a few years of hard work, or finding a rich man on that dating site. Who knows, maybe at the festival!
Violet arrived at the festival a little early, so there's no one there yet. She decides to take a peek at the stand for the eating contest, when she gets a phone call. "Violet, listen. We're having a cooking competition at The Little Corsican Bistro. Would you like to join?" Violet was actually planning to say no, but honestly, things are pretty boring around here anyway. Then she suddenly remembers that she still has a delicious Pasta Carbonara waiting for her at home...
"Yes sir, I do realize it's a little black. But that's just the point, you know! Crispiness. It's innovative. Try it, you'll be amazed." The jury is somehow very impressed and gives Violet a 50 dollar prize.
In the next chapter, Violet finds a new friend, crashes a party and maybe she'll even have her first date... Who knows?
