Are You Farming?

Grand Pa's Grove turned out to be the best purchase I've made from The Sims 3 Store.
I use it a lot. The theme was pack worthy.

I don't make traditional farms growing vegetables, eggs, and dairy.
I use my farm for growing the fruit I need for making nectar.

I've recently started a new save for the sims 3 and I am falling back on my usual game play loop
of a sim starting off on a starter lot and working his way up to a grand home-based nectary.
I am playing good ol' Cairo and he started off here.

He works his little garden to increase his gardening skills so he can level up to grow higher level fruits.
He also makes use of a community garden that has the grapes and other fruits he needs. The community garden also has a nectar making
machine in the basement.

This was Cairo's next house.
He got lucky and found some Tiberium for sale at the consignment store. He had enough money to skip over the smaller house I intended for him to buy. This one has a greenhouse and nectar making machines below in a basement, plus a nectar cellar.

His main goal was to earn enough simoleons to buy this property.
He wasn't living here when I took this picture.

Cairo finally earned enough simoleons to buy it.
He has a lot to plant so I juiced him up with an invigorating elixir and put him to work.

This lot was originally intended for sims who owned horses.

I converted the horse barn to be a tractor barn.

The nectar making area is actually under the garage.

Cairo has a wife now and they will work the nectary together.

Only the highest quality fruits go into their nectar blends.
The rest are sold off to the grocery store.

One of their blends is called Excelsior and it requires a lot of lifefruit.

I've sold off the rest of the aged nectar stock made in his old home.
They do have a nice amount of money in the bank, so they are fine as they build up inventory for a fall and winter season of nectar making.

It takes an entire day to harvest the field.

They have 4 machines--3 here and one on the upper level of the tractor barn.

In the spring, I will replant crops and sell off all the old fruit. I should have a full stocked cellar by then.
I sell off the aged nectar 1 case a day to the consignment store. I also make another batch of nectar daily.

By the time they have children, I should have a huge nectar cellar and I will stop making the stuff and slowly sell off what they have made.
I will then just focus on having fun with my Sims 3 pack content and socializing with the sims of Sunset Valley.
