Because there's no business email for me to say this...

I've been a lifetime lover of the Sims franchise. Unfortunately, i only ever could play the game at friends houses. I grew up in a financially struggling household, and never owned any of the Sims games until the most recent installment TS4. I bought the base game in 2018 and my first expansion in 2020 during the pandemic when I could justify the cost (I had to go somewhere, digital would have to suffice). A cute sidenote: as a kid, after asking my parents for TS2 relentlessly they gifted me with SimCity and Sim ant. I've never had the heart to tell them it wasn't the right game. I've been desperate to collect TS3 (truly want TS2 and TS1 but I'm choosing my battles one at a time) and all of its expansions but have been waiting for a sale. I know we all need to make money, but I had been saving the date in my calendar for the steam sale for months after hearing about it this year (can you tell the sims is my game of choice? I didn't know about the steam sale until this year!) And I was so disappointed when the game didn't go on sale anymore than it already was. In the past people have spoken about getting the entire collection for around $100. I know things have been going a different way as far as sales and things, but it's so disappointing to see the game at such a high price at its ripe old age. I do hope for the black Friday and cyber Monday sales we see the old and abandoned Sims additions on a more reasonable discount for those of us who have literally waited our entire lives to be able to play it. I love the sims, please let me love it more!! Bye void, sincerely me.

  • 4zoqvz68vjc9  I would always recommend the Steam version of Sims 3 over the EA App if anyone had a choice, but if you'd rather play than wait for the best platform and price, the EA App sales of Sims 3 are pretty reasonable.  Each expansion and stuff pack is $8 U.S., with the base game also being $8 and bundled with one EP and one SP (Late Night and High-End Loft Stuff, respectively).  The game itself plays the same once it's started.

The one obvious caveat, other than needing to launch Sims 3 through the App, is that Create a World doesn't work in the App version.  (There are workarounds, as always.)  But maybe that doesn't matter to you.

I've noticed that Steam sales of Sims 3 are infrequent but do happen, and that sometimes the discount is steeper for the first 12-24 hours than afterwards.  So if you're set on buying through Steam, check the instant any sale goes live.  I believe you can add the game to your wishlist to get notified.

once you get everything you want. Make sure to make friends in game...ie the community. It helps to have people there also who can help you along as you play.  Happy simming!😁
