Can't get in world?

I downloaded Roaring Heights the other day, and I've been trying to play in it, but when I try to chose a household and move in (either pre made or my own) the game freezes on this screen. I can't do anything, move the camera, exit, etc it's just frozen like this and this happens every time

If I don't chose a household I can enter manage worlds, view all the lots in build mode, edit them with no issues, but the second I try to go in game this happens every time. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, downloading fixes, etc but no luck. Couldn't find any reports of the same issue elsewhere so if anyone has any idea how to fix it that would be appreciated :)

  • Have you tried this solution?

Do you have NRAAS mods? You can use master controller to switch households as well. If you don't already have them, get over watch and error trap. If a script error occurs, it will leave you a log in your files. If the game crashes (which it might), it will also leave a log.

If all else fails, something might be corrupt. Use Delphy's Dashboard to check all your CC. Clean your save using the save cleaner tool. If nothing works, you're probably going to have to use NRAAS porter to move your households into another town.

  • Does this happen with every world, or just roaring heights?
I had a similar issue, and I remember at one point running the game as administrator helped. Other times, it could be either a mod conflict, especially if you have a mod that is either altering some aspect of roaring heights or one that isn't updated enough to run with roaring heights. Outdated/unsupported mods can sometimes get touchy with the store content, in my experience. If all of your mods are compatible with Roaring heights, I'd try running without any of them.

Also, if you run without any other store content or custom content, or even any packs active, except for Roaring Heights, it might work. If not, then you may have to keep digging. I'm sorry you're having this issue!

That seemed to work! I turned all of my packs off and somehow the world worked then. I saved that game and I can still access that save with packs, but as soon as packs go back on I can't start a new save in it. Weird. I'll just have to play it through that save
