Can't install Sims 3 Store Content or Custom Content anymore?

What happens if your remove all of your already installed sims3packs from Downloads? There doesn't need to be anything in there for the Launcher to trip over except that which is waiting to be installed and there are limits as to what it is capable of displaying in each category. The already installed stuff can be put away elsewhere, outside of the TS3 user game folder.

I reset my ts3 folder for nothing then. I'm having to reinstall though because my mods folder disappeared when I reset it so I will be spending time doing that. However I did also pop on MTS while waiting for stuff to download to grab more cc... specifically for my first sims request.

I have one more question actually. What would happen if I uploaded a sim with custom content on the exchange? Would I need to link where the cc is from for them to download it or will it not allow cc in exchange and require to be added?
Also, I wanted to use the multi accessories setting from one of the Nraas mods to make some of my characters I'm making have multiple earrings, bracelets, etc. but planned on putting them in the exchange. Any tips on this? It's my first time creating sims for the exchange.

Afraid I never upload anything to the Exchange and tend to avoid it as much as possible. My experiences in that arena (uploading to it I mean) have not been good. Would have to defer to someone else to answer those questions. :)

@igazor Do you have suggestions on a easy place to upload them then that won't require an account, payment, etc?

Well... now I lost all my saved sims, my saves won't load (they're showing in saves folder)... gonna have to start over. Oof. :(
