Excuse me if I'm stupid.

I noticed today that the Sims 3 is on Steam. I'd love to buy some of the expansions from them, but how will I use them with the game/expansion packs that I already use through Origin? Will I be able to transfer what I buy on steam to Origin? I'd really prefer to only use one client.

Have any of you taken advantage of this? What did you do? Were you able to use them together? Is it easier to use Steam than Origin?
