I experienced a miracle. Lagging has almost gone! I didn't move any families out of the houseboats. I didn't do anything. I just opened Isla Paradiso as a new game and activated Prince family, Rubisel Itchtaca lives in the luxury houseboat. @Nikkei_Simmer - Bootcamp doesn't work that way. When we use Bootcamp and startup our Mac hardware into Windows, then plus or minus a difference in device drivers here and there it's the same as running Windows on any other PC. Our hard drives are partitioned into two and what happens on the macOS partition does not affect the Windows one. Like quite a few other players, I now have a Patch 1.67 TS3 for Windows game on one partition (except by way of Steam, not discs) and a Patch 1.70 64-bit and Metal TS3 for Mac game on the other (by way of Origin) with no connections between them.

@Jeansoo - The card gets used the same on both versions, but they have different drivers. Frankly, I don't think things look so hot on either right now because Windows updates keeps messing with how graphics are handled on that side and the new Mac version has a number of bugs getting in the way that need to be worked out.The biggest problem I have on both platforms is the screen ripples on me, as if there were a thousand tiny screen tears that appear and disappear in an instant, when I move the game camera around at certain zoom levels. If I had to choose, I would say my game looks/feels better on Windows right now. And the Mac version is still suffering from strange looking overlays on hair and blocky eyelashes.They're both a pair of moving targets though, and hopefully things will improve in different ways on both sides. (note: I'm still on Mojave on the macOS and it's probably time to take the plunge into Catalina)

Oh yeah I forgot that his household name is the prince, I used to edited world that you mentioned and it still lagged a lot. I might try using just an ellacharmed one then.

I tried playing in Isla Paradiso like last month. And I actually took the time to fix the world properly for the first time and now, it works brilliantly. It is definitely better than Bridgeport and the only problems were boats hanging around which Overwatch cleans up nightly so it is not that big of a issue. What I did was: I installed Ellacharmed's fixes, I deleted Scott and Collins families completely, deleted the houseboat of Scott's completely, moved all other families out of houseboats and placed them in other homes, deleted every refrigerator in every houseboat (so that other sims don't move in automatically), and replaced arch entries with door entries. It seems to be working so beautifully right now and I am loving it :)

I occasionally play it on my Windows 7 bootcamp partition but it runs pretty good for me on ultra (my Mac Pro is ancient). My sims never really live on a lot though....just a houseboat. When undocked there’s little to no lag.

Have you recently tried to play in Isla Paradiso on Windows?

Honestly, the lag is only coming from that world. I played custom world called Legacy Island III with Island Paradise features such as Houseboat, Resort and Diving Spot and the lag is nowhere to be found in the said world. Isla Paradiso was badly optimized and felt they were rushing and didnt playtest all the lot that they build so some sims always keep getting stuck and unroutable.

Its only the Isla Paradiso world that is the problem, not the expansion itself. You can use the items in other worlds just fine. If you like boats and beaches, its a nice expansion.

What do you mean by activated the said families?

I played there with only Island Paradise and Base Game, it still froze a lot and having to resetSIM every few minutes.

If she says she's playing with Mac Windows (Bootcamp); it probably means she's using the new 64 bit Sims 3 for Mac users only. It doesn't apply to us PC users.

I mean I selected 'Prince Family' as my active household and his name is Rubisel. Recently, I've done my graphics card driver update. Before this update, I was the same. I had to use Edited Lsla Paradiso without houseboats in the world. I played this yesterday. :D

I heard Mac version sims 3 doesn't do any affect on the Windows version. I can prove that my sims3 patch version is 1.67 on Windows. I don't open Origin to run the sims 3 on my Windows. I installed all Eps and Sps by DVDs on Windows side. Also I heard from other Mac user that Bootcamp is actually the separate OS, so my Mac Retina doesn't support my Windows system.

May I have a question? I've been curious about the graphics card in Mac OSX. The same graphics card works on Windows side as well as far as I know. Does the graphics work better than Windows side from Retina support? I tried the mac version for a couple of days, the graphics look much better than Windows side with the same graphics card.

OMG... I ...'ve done the Windows update last night before going to sleep and my desktop screen is totally reset . I need to have a look my game soon. Hopefully...please...I don't want to lose this game performance. I don't feel any improved game performance on mac side but I do improved graphics. Also I feel improved game performance but poor graphics on windows side. LOL Thank you :) I actually didn't know the graphics card drivers are different on mac side and windows side.

Oh One thing I want to tell you that there's no Scott Family in this saved game file. I love Rubisel the most in Isla, I don't want him to have a daughter with Linda Scott. I deleted the Scott family. I was jealous.:D And..not sure but there could be one or two houses of my own.
