Humor Me

I have a Sim employed in the Firefighter Profession. Here's what I know...

I) If you delete the Fire Station all Sims in the career will become unemployed
II) You have to maintain the Fire Engine and the Fire Alarm(s)
III) Once you reach "Fire Chief" in the profession you are given an alarm and fire engine so you can respond from home

Here is the inquiry...

If I add a second fire station to the town and delete the previous one, will it unemploy the Sims anyway? Has anyone tried this out in the past?

    I don't know about the fire station but for the sports stadium if you place the second one before the first one is deleted sims in sports will automatically be employed in the new one when the old one is deleted. If the first sports stadium is removed before the new one is placed they will become unemployed and have to start over at a lower career level.

    I'm curious about this as well. I placed a firestation into my world manually and sim weeks later discovered IP already has one. I kind of want to remove the one I added but I'm afraid to do so, in case it will destroy her career. Hope it will work like the sports career.

    Save your game, try removing it and see what happens. If it doesn't work out go back to the saved game. Let us know what you find out.

    Okay I added a second fire station and removed the first one. My Sim is still employed in the Firefighter profession at the same job level, so your hunch was right. Thank you very much!
