In need of CC organising help

My CAS cc is so confusing and I'm not sure how to fix it. The packaged files go in to the Mods folder, and my simpack files go into my Downloads folder. But when it comes to using a specific cc item in CAS then unless the description or artists name is on it I end up lost because some of the files look exactly the same. Is there any way of knowing what's what once I'm in the game instead of moving all the files and testing them one by one? Apart from time consuming it's very frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
